Sale trail west of Vernal at McCoy Flat. Described ride is 9.2 miles, 800
vertical total climbing. Option of shorter (5 mile) shortcut after

ATV-track descent down a cuesta about 10 miles north of Vernal. Two
descent options, approx 5 miles each, 1700 vertical. Option of strenuous

Red Canyon Rim
(The Rim Trail). Nice singletrack, with some tech sections, along
the rim of Red Canyon at Flaming Gorge. 9.6-mile out-and-back, a little
climbing. Great views. |

Retail Sale.
The classic heart of McCoy Flat's system.
Desert singletrack loop near Vernal, upper-intermediate technical with
some advanced-technical sections. A few short climbs, mostly twisting, up
and down riding. Trail surface can be a bit bumpy for hardtail bikes.
Narrow trail with soft shoulder; good bike-handling skills recommended. Season

Rojo Trail.
Technical slickrock singletrack on a sloped cuesta called Red Mountain,
just north of Vernal. Usually done as a 6-mile loop with the climb on the
Red Mountain DT trail. Very strenuous, advanced riders only. Season April

Serpendipity.
The Serpendipity loop is 8 miles with 650 feet of climbing. From McCoy
Flat, the loop consists of a climb via Jackalope, descent on Serpendipity,
and a return on Retail Sale. Intermediate technical. Season March through November. |

Slippery when Wet.
Slippery When Wet is an upper-intermediate loop trail, reached either
directly from the McCoy Flat trailhead, or via Retail Sale. The loop
itself is about 5 miles. Season March through November. |

Swett Ranch.
Cruiser dirt-road scenic ride on the south side of Flaming Gorge Reservoir
at 7400 feet elevation. 700 feet elevation change. Season June
through October. |

Three Amigos.
Undulating desert riding in red and white dirt through sage and juniper.
Length 6 miles. Moderately strenuous with quick climbs and wash plunges. 2016
note: Although still an official route, subject to closure due to blasting
in the area. Check current status before riding. Season April through

Upper Moo.
[Check current trail status!] Extension loop off the tip of Can You Moo,
around 8 miles. Desert singletrack loop, easy-intermediate technical,
less-used than Can You Moo. Mostly smooth undulating narrow dirt
singletrack. Option of shuttled downhill of Upper Moo and Can You Moo?.
