American Fork Canyon  (see below for foothill trails)
A.F. Canyon Overlook  Out-and-back ride to a viewpoint overlooking the confluence of North Fork and South Fork of American Fork Canyon. Scenic. About 10 miles round trip, 1200 feet climbing. Upper-intermediate technical. Season June through September.

Ant Knolls. High-altitude singletrack from Pole Line Pass as out-and-back, or intermediate-tech loop via Big Flat or high-tech loop via Dry Fork. Can be combined with climb of American Fork Canyon North Fork dirt road. Moderate climbing, great views. Season late June through September.

Aspen Grove (Lame Horse Trail). Singletrack climbs from Aspen Grove in Provo Canyon's North Fork to the top of the Alpine Loop in American Fork Canyon. Shorter ride but significant climb, intermediate technical. Aspen forest with some views. Season late May through September.
Bear Canyon Loop.  Tougher 8-mile loop in American Fork Canyon. Fairly stiff climb. Advanced technical downhill in Bear Canyon. Option of longer ride by linking to Ridge Trail or Timpanogos Perimeter. Season late June through early October.
Big Baldy Loop (Pleasant Grove to Orem).  Extremely tough, long loop ride with extensive climbing, technical downhill, rough trail surfaces. Uses Grove Creek for uphill, Dry Canyon for downhill. For strong, skilled, adventurous riders only. Season late June through September.
Deer Creek South ForkMust-Ride Classic! Singletrack loop at the Alpine Loop Summit includes a section of Ridge 157, then rolls down to the Cascade Springs road and back up to the summit. Moderate climbing, intermediate technical. Forest and views. Season June through September.
Dry Fork. Loop ride climbs from Dutchman Flat in American Fork Canyon to Pole Line Pass, then rides beautiful singletrack past the Ant Knolls, and finishes with a high-tech rough descent via Dry Fork. Significant climbing, great views. Season late June through September.

Grove Creek (Pleasant Grove).  Up-and-back or downhill trail for advanced riders. (Most riders do this ride as a shuttled DH.) Fairly steep, exposed cliffsides, trail surface often technical. Holman Trail (American Fork Canyon)
Extremely technical steep singletrack descends from Ridge 157. Loop ride has long climb, over 3900 feet climbing total, 19 miles. Loose trail, rocks, roots. For high-experts only. Season July to mid-September.
Horse Flat. Singletrack climbing from Alpine Loop Summit to Horse Flat and around to the Lame Horse trail. Quick loop ride, or a sidebar to a longer ride. Upper-intermediate, mild climbing. Season June to October.
Lame Horse Trail (Aspen Grove to Summit Trail). Singletrack climbs from Aspen Grove in Provo Canyon's North Fork to the top of the Alpine Loop in American Fork Canyon. Shorter ride but significant climb, intermediate technical. Aspen forest with some views. Season late May through September.
Mahogany Mountain (with north Pleasant Grove BST). Trail contours mountain at 6100-foot level, reached via Grove Creek or foothill trail complex including unmarked Bonneville Shoreline trail. Intermediate technical, strong climbing condition recommended. Season  late April through November.
Middle Ridge 157 Loop (Mill Canyon Springs Loop). Fairly easy 8-mile loop from the Cascade Springs Road. Moderate but easy climbing, combines pavement, dirt road, very nice singletrack. Beautiful views. Season June through September.
Middle 157 Expert Loop. Tough 5.5-mile loop from the Cascade Springs Road, all singletrack. Some tougher climbing, steep narrow descent best done by expert riders. Beautiful views. Season June through September.
Mill Canyon via Mud Springs Loop. 11-mile singletrack loop starts at Tibble Fork Reservoir in the North Fork of American Fork Canyon. Offers many fantastic views, but requires extremely steep long climb, technical downhill. For advanced riders. Season mid-June through early October.
Mill Canyon Peak Loop. Tough steep singletrack loop at the top of Pole Line Pass, reached via the North Fork of AF Canyon (see below). Beautiful views, cool forest. Season  late June through September.
Mud Springs Downhill via Great Western. 7-mile singletrack romp, for advanced riders. Great Western is intermediate technical, Mud Spring advanced technical. Significant elevation change. Views. Season mid-June through early October.
Mud Spring - Mill Canyon Loop. 11-mile singletrack loop starts at Tibble Fork Reservoir in the North Fork of American Fork Canyon. Offers many fantastic views, but requires extremely steep long climb, technical downhill. For advanced riders. Season mid-June through early October.
North Fork, American Fork Canyon. Rocky gravel road up from Tibble Fork to Pole Line Pass in American Fork Canyon. Access to Ridge 157, Dry Fork, Mill Canyon Peak. Beginner-intermediate technical. Season June through October.
Old Sheep Trail. Singletrack descent from Silver Lake Flats road. See Silver Lake page. Season June through October.
Old Trench Road Trail. Difficult technical downhill via long loop ride or with shuttle. High altitude, connects Ridge 157 to Tibble Fork Reservoir with 3000-foot vertical descent. Recommended for advanced riders only. Season July through September.
Pine Hollow. Stiff climb on singletrack from the Alpine Loop road to the Great Western and Ridge 157. From there, you loop back through the loop Summit Trail, Timpooneke, or Tibble Fork. Significant climb, advanced-intermediate technical. Season June through September.
Pot Hollow (Little Deer Creek Loop). 2.5-mile singletrack downhill from Pole Line Pass near Cascade Springs. Ride as shuttled DH or as 12-mile loop climbing on gravel/dirt road. Substantial but non-technical climbing. Descent upper-intermediate technical. Season late June through October.
Pot Hollow via East Side Ridge Loop. Absolutely brutal vicious ride for strong experts only. Initial climb on gravel/dirt road, then 10 miles of advanced-technical singletrack. Top altitude 9700 feet, great views. Finishes with intermediate-tech descent down Pot Hollow  Season July through September.
Ridge Trail 157. Extends from Alpine Loop Summit to Pole Line Pass along the ridgeline, but most riders use only the southern end of this trail as part of loops via other trails. Nice views. Little climbing, upper-intermediate technical. Season June through September.
Salamander Flat. A Must-Do Ride!  Trail 150 from Timpooneke trailhead up to Pine Hollow and Ridge 157. Loop described on this page drops down to Salamander Flats. Intermediate technical, moderate climbing. Nice views, cool forest riding. Season June through September.
Silver Lake Flat. Gravel-road ride with moderate climbing to loop around a beautiful alpine lake. Easy technical. Family camping, hiking, splashing, fishing, and picnic options. Options for singletrack climb/descent. Season June through October.
Snow Gauging trail. Narrow singletrack, usually used as the descending side of a loop ride with Willow Hollow and Horse Flat. Intermediate technical. Somewhat strenuous as a climbing route. Season June through October.
Tibble ForkA Must-Ride Classic! Awesome singletrack downhill from the middle of the Ridge 157 trail to Tibble Fork Reservoir. Shuttle, or do a few miles on pavement to reach a trail that climbs to Ridge 157. Advanced-intermediate technical, significant climb without shuttle. Season June through September.
Timpanogos Perimeter (Great Western). Narrow singletrack from Timpooneke Campground to Grove Creek around Mt Timpanogos. Advanced-intermediate technical, significant climbing. Great views. Season June through September.
Timpooneke Loop.  See Salamander Flat. Quick loop from Timpooneke Campground up to Ridge 157, then dropping down to Salamander Flats. Intermediate technical, moderate climbing. Nice views, cool forest riding. Season June through September.
Tour de Forks. EPIC ride for very advanced bikers only. Starts at Tibble Fork in American Fork Canyon, ranges over several drainage "forks." 30 miles, about 4500 feet of climbing. 8 miles rocky uphill doubletrack, 22 miles of technical singletrack. One 1/2-mile steep hike-a-bike can be skipped if desired. Season late June to mid-September.
Willow Hollow. Trail from Salamander Flat to the Alpine Loop summit. Useful for a variety of loop rides. Intermediate technical, moderate climbing pace. Season late June to mid-September.
Northern Utah County   near A.F. Canyon
Achtung Baby   Singletrack downhill flow trail with engineered jumps and berms. Reached via Two Hollows or Hog Hollow trails. Season May through November.
Bodily Harm . Singletrack connects Alpine Cove to Three Falls Fort Canyon section, providing a continuous dirt route from Alpine to Draper. Moderate climbing. Season April through November.
Bonneville Shoreline - Orem to Pleasant Grove  4.5 miles out-and-back, with around 600 feet of climbing each way. Option of loop ride via road return. Foothill area with views over Utah Valley. Season April through November.
Carpe Diem   (Hog Hollow area). Trail starts on upper Three Falls and drops to lower Hog Hollow. Upper-intermediate with some expert spots. Season late May through November.
Crop Circles   Unofficial and unmarked trail system in the foothills of Lindon. On National Forest above the Bonneville Shoreline. Season April through November.
EZ Breezy  Directional flow trail in Big Hollow above Alpine, reached via other area trails. Easier-intermediate. Season May through mid-November.
Fango (Alpine-Highland area on Traverse Ridge). Singletrack trail connecting the lower Hog Hollow trail to lower Mercer Hollow. Season May through November.
Forbidden  Singletrack connects Alpine Cove to Three Falls above Fort Canyon section, providing a continuous dirt route from Alpine to Draper. Moderate climbing. Season April through November.

Heritage Hills.  Future loop ride on the north edge of Alpine, 0.8 miles finished. For strong beginners or early-intermediate riders; modest climbing.
Highland Hollow   Multiple wandering and crossing loops in the big gulch of Dry Creek in northwest Highland. Range from easy to expert. Season March through December.
Hog Hollow (Alpine and Draper).  Broad-track old roadway climbs from Alpine to the top of Traverse Ridge. This is a local favorite for winter-time riding. In summer easy technical; in winter advanced. Connects Alpine to Draper's fabulous trail system. Season anytime.
Hog Hollow Creek (Alpine).  Singletrack along Hog Hollow Creek from Beacon Hill Park to the old Hog Hollow trail. Season April through November.
Jordan River Parkway (Lehi).  Paved foot, bike, and rollerblade trail along the Jordan River, from Utah Lake to the Jordan Narrows. Park for family picnics. Not crowded. Easy easy easy technical. Season March through November, but often clear of snow in winter.
Longview Singletrack with gentle climbing rate from lower Hog Hollow with steeper continuation as Turkey Farm trail before reaching Peakview trail. Used as climbing route for loop rides. Season May through November.
Murdock Canal Trail (Orem, Linden, Pleasant Grove, American Fork, Highland, Lehi). Paved trail follows route of enclosed Murdock Canal for 17 miles from the mouth of Provo Canyon to Thanksgiving Point at the north end of the valley. Connections to local paved trails. Season year-round as snow allows.
Neph's Lake (Alpine Cove to Three Falls)   Singletrack connects Alpine's Fort Canyon and Alpine Cove to Three Falls, providing a continuous dirt route from Alpine to Draper. Moderate climbing. Season April through November.
Lambert Park (Alpine). A Must-Ride!  11 miles of singletrack loops on Alpine City land at the base of East Mountain. Views of Lone Peak and Dry Creek Canyon. Upper-intermediate technical, some loops involve a bit of climbing. Season March through early December. Some portions may be open in winter.

Stoney Way.  Traversing trail from Schoolhouse Springs to Heritage Hills. Very easy technically, minimal easy climbing.
Three Falls (Traverse Ridge area, Draper)  Three Falls Fort Canyon (Fort Canyon, Alpine). Trail, combined with Peak View, extends from Traverse Ridge to Alpine. This page covers the portion from Peak View to Three Falls subdivision. Easier-intermediate. Season May through November.
Valley Vista (Pleasant Grove). Series of interconnected loops in the foothills of Pleasant Grove, reached via the Murdock Canal Trail. Season March through November.
Willow Hollow Trail from Salamander Flat camping to the Alpine Loop summit. Key to some shorter loops in the canyon. Season June through October.
